Congratulations to the 15th Africa University Masters in Intellectual Property (MIP) Cohort on their graduation!

Since 2008, ARIPO has partnered with Africa University and the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) through the Japan Patent Office (JPO) Funds-In-Trust to offer the MIP degree to develop human resource capacity in the African continent’s IP field. 

Thirty-two (32) Masters in Intellectual Property (MIP) students in the 15th Cohort graduated with Masters in Intellectual Property Degrees on Saturday 10 June 2023 at the Africa University Campus in Mutare, Zimbabwe. 

The graduating students are from 11 African countries,  five were on ARIPO sponsorship and twenty-two (22) were on WIPO sponsorship. ARIPO presented cash prizes to the best student in MIP studies as well as to the graduate student who has demonstrated leadership potential in the MIP programme. WIPO also presented awards for the best three graduating students in MIP studies. 

ARIPO also offers the MIP degree program in partnership with two (2) other universities, namely, the University of Dar es Salaam (Tanzania), and Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (Ghana).
